 TIH Module - This is the standard module that displays events on this day (today).
 TIH Random module - Pulls random events from the TIH DB. Covers all dates.
 TIH Volume Set 1a - The first volume of 1000 events FREE. Extract from the zip before uploading in TIH admin. area.

Upgrade Package - Today In History upgrade SQL. Upgrade SQL from version 1.3 to 2.0. This is a manual install package. You'll need to unzip this package to your hard drive and read the upgrade information file for the details.

 

 

The Today In History component is a tool that will display events that happened on this day in History to your site visitors. The front end of the component allows for searching/sorting on the day/month of your events DB and comes with a generous MySQL file containing 1000 events to get you started. Although, there's nothing keeping you from adding your own.

TIH is optimized to handle large amounts of information and retrieve it FAST! Tests with this component were often ran with 10, 000 - 30, 000 events in the DB and TIH performed without a hiccup. 

In version 2.0 the front end has been rewritten from scratch, playing paying close attention to speed and flexibility, while the back end code has been improved, but it still works mostly with the old code style.
